The Gisborne Medical Centre was today delighted to host representatives from the Gisborne SES for a morning tea and donate $500 to thank them for their efforts in cleaning up the medical centre flood which occurred in August.
Practice Partners Kulbir Gill, Heena Choksey and Steve Newton were humbled by the level of assistance and expertise they received from the SES on the day of the flood. The Partners would also like to acknowledge the fantastic staff that came in on their day off to help sweep the water out of the centre and remove carpet tile (after carpet tile).
SES Volunteer Rex Pilgrim said the donation would go towards purchasing Milwaukee portable lamps and electronic flares.
The medical centre has now been fully restored with new carpets and freshly painted walls much to the delight of our patients and staff.
