Today we welcomed students from St Brigid's Primary School in Gisborne. Nurse Jane and Dr Rashida Moiz enjoyed talking to the grade Prep and 1's to demystify the experience of health care and discuss some common health related topics.
We chatted about healthy eating, sleeping, exercise, how to avoid germs, hand washing and about why people might visit the doctor. We showed them the instruments and tools used in health care such as thermometers and blood pressure measurement. All of the student had the opportunity to be weighed and height measured.
These delightful and enthusiastic students were issued with laminated certificates at the end of the visit.
We love these community engagements and thank St Brigid's for bringing the students to visit!
