Kulbir has worked in Gisborne since 1984 and is a founding partner of Gisborne Medical Centre. He enjoys the diversity of General Practice, has particular expertise in Diabetes management, and has integrated acupuncture into his medical practice since 1993. His patients like his caring and skilful approach. He loves working as part of a team assisting people to optimise their health, and being involved in training doctors, nurses and other health workers.

Stephen Newton

Steve enjoys the diversity and challenges presented by all aspects of general practice. He performs minor surgical procedures and is a supervisor of both registrar doctors and medical students.

Shaima has been at the Gisborne Medical Centre for three years and has built up a strong patient following.
Robert Hetzel
Family Medicine, Mental Health, Preventative Medicine 
Robert joined the team in 2010. He is a former medical educator at the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners training program and maintains a passion for teaching medical students.
Previously Robert worked as a GP in Flemington, was CEO of Monash IVF and then the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.  Robert has recently been appointed Adjunct Senior Research, Fellow School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine Monash University.
Heena Choksey
General Medicine, Women's Health, Obstetrics, Paediatrics

Heena has been working with Gisborne Medical Centre since 2007 and has a special interest in women's health, obstetrics and children's health. She provides Shared Care Antenatal services

Kasey Hogg
General Medicine, Adolescent and Child Health, Women's Health

Kasey grew up in the Macedon Ranges and has returned to become a GP for her community. She also works as a Medical Educator. Kasey strives to provide a holistic and empathetic approach to patient care.

Tim Phillips
Preventative Medicine, Natural Medicine, Mental Health
Tim came to Gisborne in 2011 after completing his GP training. He lives locally with his family. Tim's interests include preventative medicine, natural medicine and mental health. Outside of work he enjoys playing bagpipes, gardening and snow skiing.
Carlie Di Camillo

Women's Health, Paediatrics, Chronic Disease Management
Carlie grew up in the local area and returned to the Macedon Ranges after completing her studies. Her interests include management of chronic disease, geriatrics, obstetrics shared care, women's health and medical education.

Family Medicine
James is completing his GP specialty training with us. James' previous GP training was undertaken in Kyneton, James is familiar with the Macedon Ranges and enjoys all aspects of family health care.

Sean McGrath

Sean qualified as a Specialist General Practitioner in 2021 after 5 years of training in Gisborne, Daylesford and Bendigo. He completed a Diploma in Child Health in 2017.

Sean enjoys keeping active through long distance running and hiking.

Dr Jason Hsu

Jason graduated with a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Melbourne. He has been working as a rural registrar and previously trained at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

His interests include procedures, dermatology, emergency medicine, medical education and musculoskeletal medicine. Jason has also trained and worked as a physiotherapist both in Canada and Australia.

Jason originally comes from Canada with his wife and two children. He enjoys cooking, martial arts, music and snowboarding.

Rashida Moiz
Family Medicine, Women's Health, Mental Health, Paediatrics

Rashida completed her general practice training at the Gisborne Medical Centre and has successfully attained her Fellowship qualification.
She enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly looking after children's and women's health.

Min Kim


After graduating from Melbourne University, Dr Kim worked in various hospitals around Victoria. He worked with Gisborne Medical Centre previously in 2018 and the feedback from our patients is they are delighted to have him back.

Dr Kim’s special interests are in Paediatrics and Aged Care.

When not working tirelessly, you can find Dr Kim singing, playing guitar and listening to music.

I have a broad hospital based work experience in Australia, across different subspecialities of medicine. My interests include, geriatrics, palliative medicine, chronic disease management, obstetrics and women’s health.

Gisborne Medical Centre has been providing quality medical care to the Gisborne and Macedon Ranges community for over 25 years.


Our goal is to provide the best possible health care to patients in a welcoming and friendly environment. 


Our practice and services has expanded significantly over the last few years with the introduction of nurse clinics, a larger range of visiting medical specialists and allied health providers. This means that all your health needs can be provided from our clinic.

The Team

Our Nurses

Gisborne Medical Centre's nurses are available Mondays to Saturdays to assist with patient care including triaging urgent and emergency care, assisting with procedures, vaccinations, plasters and wound care.


They also provide chronic disease care planning by spending time with you to ensure you understand and can manage your conditions optimally.


Our nurses understand the needs of our patients and have developed care models that ensure the best patient outcomes.
